FD 200 Seating
- Lecture Theatres
The FD 200 is a versatile seating system designed for lecture theatres, auditoriums, and multi-purpose venues, combining strength, comfort, and adaptability. Featuring a sprung self-tipping seat base, it is purpose-built for retractable tiering systems, where the seats fold flat to enable smooth system retraction. Floor-mounted to concrete or deckboard, the FD 200 integrates seamlessly into retractable platforms, supporting a wide range of layouts and installations.
Customisation lies at the heart of the FD 200. Options include upholstered or wooden armrests, polished plywood or upholstered panels, and variable backrest depths, with a cut-short backrest (CS model) available for a streamlined look. Writing ledges can be mounted to the rear of seats, with or without integrated power, making it ideal for academic use. Additional features such as removable seats for wheelchair spaces, seat numbering, and varied spacing ensure accessibility and flexibility for every project.

Options & Accessories:
Customise the FD 200 with options that boost functionality, comfort, and sustainability. Choose eco-friendly foam upgrades, short or tall backrests with lumbar support, optional numbering for organisation, and integrated writing ledges—tailored for lecture theatres, auditoriums, and flexible multi-purpose spaces.
Seat base and backrest foam can be replaced with a recycled (and recyclable) sheet fibre product, sourced from recycled PET and clothing – inherently FR and nearly endlessly recyclable in a closed loop factory, this upgrade significantly improves product sustainability, both in manufacture and at end of life, as the material is commonly isolated for recycling by civic waste disposal and recycling centres.
Structures:
Discover the foundation behind truly seamless seating solutions—our expertly engineered retractable structures. Unlike competitors who only supply chairs, SIS Global Seating designs, manufactures, and installs fully integrated tiered flooring systems, delivering a turnkey service from concept to completion. Every structure is precision-built to fit any space, from compact lecture halls to large, complex auditoriums.
Our modular construction enables rapid installation, transforming venues into fully functional lecture theatres or auditoriums in just days. Designed for optimal capacity, sightlines, and user experience, our retractable tiering solutions offer custom riser and tread dimensions with the flexibility of straight or curved configurations—providing the perfect foundation for high-performance seating.
